El Cortez Cabana Suites is a four-star hotel located at 651 E Ogden Ave in downtown Las Vegas, placing guests within easy reach of Fremont Street’s lively attractions. This property offers stylish, colorful rooms featuring marble bathrooms, free Wi-Fi, and iPod docks. While some guests have noted that certain rooms may be small and darker due to limited natural light, others praised the spacious suites, comfortable climate control, and practical amenities such as multiple outlets and walk-in showers.

The hotel is a budget-friendly option with free parking, smoke-free facilities, and is accessible and kid-friendly. The property situates guests near prominent local landmarks including The Neon Museum, The Mob Museum, and the Fremont Street Experience, all popular for their history and vibrant entertainment. Reviewers found the location convenient for exploring downtown Las Vegas without the noise and bustle of the Strip, with several appreciating the presence of on-site security and a key card entry system for added safety.

Originally book at the El Cortez but my room was facing the nightclub booming and I didn’t even bother going in the room and returned to front desk and asked for a room in a quieter side and they sent me to the cabana suites. Yes much quieter but the rooms were small and not well lit. No window really either which is fine but the lighting in the room was so dark. Didn’t bother to do anything about it was only here two nights and needed a budget hotel so what did I expect. Very walkable to Fremont and lots of coffee shops within walking distance. I’d come back at the right price. The lobby looked very cool retro vibe but not staffed after a certain time.

Decent location for down town. Great eateries on Carson Street. Small walk from Fremont experience. It's across the road from the main El Cortez building.

We booked the suite in the cabanas, very spacious room! Clean and plenty of space. We felt safe with security around the property. Even though it’s across from the main hotel, perfect walking distance to Fremont and other sites.

LOVED how beautiful & unique the room was. It was very clean, and the 2 ACs kept my room at a perfect level for me. The bathrooms were spacious & the walk-in shower was perfect. Lots of room for my stuff. This room felt like home and was big enough to have my stuff & move around in. Lots of outlets, large mirror 2 sinks in bathroom if your traveling with people and getting ready. The parking garage is a few feet away with an elevator, so you don't have to go far. LOVED the Tiffany blue & checked black & white lobby. I felt safe & comfortable here. The customer service was smooth too, no problems . I would definitely come back

This place is brilliant for those on a budget... Think of it like a high class Motel 6...lol. What did you expect for something that is well under $100 a night in one of the most touristy cities filled with hotels and inns? not to mention competition from the likes of locals with vacation rentals? Location, location, location... If you want to get away from the strip...albeit not too far away then El Cortez is a solid option. You can walk to Fremont st. or all the other desirable spots in downtown and parking is a plenty, since it's free for hotel guests. There are two parking structures to choose form. IMHO the Cabana Suites are a much better place to stay instead of the regular El Cortez which is actually across the street. From my experience all the issues I had were a direct result of the guests staying there, not from the hotel itself. The suites are non-smoking, even though some genius decided to light up in the exit stairwell because he/she was too lazy to go outside and smoke. The room itself was a decent size and comfy. Everything worked just as advertised. There is a mini refrigerator built into the furniture / TV. The staff cleaned the room and maintained everything well. Just a heads up; they don't allow an extra cot or bed in here. I wouldn't have a problem staying here again...

Very nice and comfortable room. Can be noisy at times due to Ogden street. There is security outside the front doors of the suites and a key card is required for entry. Everyone at el cortez was accommodating and friendly. They have a shuttle service to the airport which was a plus and the driver was very friendly and got us to the airport safely and on time.

The Cabana Suites are sparkling brand new yet offer a very old style Las Vegas feel. The complimentary airport shuttle put this hotel over the top for me. Enjoyed staying right down on Fremont Street in an older hotel in downtown Vegas, with all the action being within walking distance. Made for a relaxed stress free, quick getaway; no car rental needed.

I enjoyed my stay. All the employees especially, Sammy, the security guard were very friendly and enjoyable to talk to. My time went super fast. The maids were always there ready to accommodate all of my needs. If it weren't so expensive to stay there. I would still be there. I loved it. Thank you so much for so much vintage and history all along the way.
